I'm wondering if vBulletin has the possibility to post the calendar on any other page besides the the "calendars" page linked at the top once you log in. Currently if you do this without logging in, it won't show events.
For this site, they might be useful if we could have both the Restoration and the Intactivism calendar visible in forums for their respective subjects. Assuming, of course, there are events - and with restoration I at least know there are NORM meetings besides the two that are already posted. Calendars or event schedules seem to be an underused feature of any site, but I think the reason for that is only that they're hidden away from the main pages.

Logging in is key I guess.
I think you can subscribe to calendars so you get e-mail notices of pending events. We could certainly post links to calendar events within postings, and anyone with an event can publicize it as a posting or Call to Action. It would be nice to just see list of all upcomming events instead of having to browse through dates. I don't know how to make that happen. -Ron |
