Hi,
We're replacing the TLC-X Collar with a Collet. The parts finally arrived so I updated the web site http://TLCTugger.com/prodTLC-X.htm, although I don't have the videos updated yet. The Collet twists together to grip the Rod. I've verifiied that my design grips hard enough to resist a force of several pounds. Advantages of the Collet: 1) No screws to lose. 2) Narrower retaining cone can be used. 3) Rod effectively has more usable length since the Collet interfaces more solidly with the Tugging handle even when the Rod doesn't extend to the end of the handle. For those who bought a TLC-X, a Collar, or set screws since January 1st, you can order a Collet and get your s&h refunded. Feel free to add other items to your order (a narrow-opening retaining cone?) while taking advantage of this offer. Can the Collet be used with rubber bands? Even if not, it will still be worth the upgrade to me.

I didn't have the original TLC-X, but I've been using this new one for a few days now and it is so easy to use. I work in a hospital so I'm constantly moving around, but wearing this thing causes no issues whatsoever.

Ron,
How does the new Collet work with the 4.5 rod and how do the rubber bands attach to the collet? I received my TLC-X last week with the set screws and saw your post about ordering the new collet with a refund on shipping. Thanks! Bill A |

Thanks for your patience for the new videos demonstrating this stuff. Adobe freakin Premiere software is giving me fits and shutting down my computer every time I try to render a video. -Ron |

Just want to know the skin cone size for the collet. I have the set screw one and the tlc tugger. If change the screw to collet, the tlc tugger skin cone would it fit with it or i have to get a new cone?

If your TLC Tugger is an inch wide or less we ship those with a special narrow opening cone that is never going to work with the TLC-X. |

How does one notify you to apply the shipping rebate?

Just order the collet and any number of other items, and then send us an email to remind us to rebate the $8 ship fit charge.
You could also email us and ask for a PayPal invoice that doesn't include the charge. -Ron TLCTuggerService@GMail.com |
