I am very displeased with Chuck Colson's statements.
I generally observe the old saying, "I do not discuss politics or religion," and will try to stick to it posting here.
While I do belive that many evengelical Christians present a great problem to us Intactivists, we should remember what Van Lewis said, probably late in his ife, hat we Intactivists do not have any way of knowing how someone might react to Intactivistm, simply on the basis of what religion or political beliefs they might have.
I'm sure there are many evangelical Christians who are very horrified by, and opposed to cutting baby boys, and would never do it to their sons, and probably do want legal protection from mutilation extended to male as well as female unconsenting minors.
I think what is needed is for a well recognized, prominent evangelical to speak out in favor of Intactivism, which would really benefit our cause.
I'm sure ther are prominent evangelical leaders who are intact, and if they would come out of the closet and say so, their followers would see that it is good for males to be left intact.
I've often wondered if Dr. Billy Graham is intact?
If he, or some other evangelical as prominent would speak out and say they are intact, and are opposed to cutting boys, I believe that many of their followers would react favorably.
